As Osteopathic physicians, we are trained to view the body in a holistic manner. Doctors of Osteopathy (DO) are licensed with an unlimited scope of medical and surgical practice. Osteopathy is a separate school of medicine that branched from MD’s over a century ago. Osteopathic physician training emphasizes the natural healing powers of the body and recognizes the role of osteopathic manipulative treatment (OMT) to aid in healing.
